The aims of a fire risk assessment are:- 

• To identify hazards that have the potential to start or aid a fire. 
• To identify the risk to people. 
• To reduce the risk of identified hazards likely to cause harm, to as low as reasonably practicable. 
• To decide what physical fire precautions and management arrangements are necessary to ensure the safety of people in your premises if a fire does occur.    

Apart from a requirement of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety Order) 2005, a well documented fire risk assessment is vital to the process of establishing safe and well managed systems. It will be required to satisfy not only you the client but also:-

• The Enforcing Authority (normally the local fire and rescue service)
• The Insurance Company 
• The Licensing Authority, where alcohol is sold.
• Staff and members of the public

Fire  Risk Assessment -

is the basis of the new fire regulations and should form the essential foundation to safety of people and property.
